About the role#
This internship provides first-hand exposure to mining and aggregate production operations. You will work on-site to gain practical experience, complete focused project work, and apply classroom concepts to real business operations. This is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support safety initiatives and follow all company policies, including the code of ethics.
- Participate in production planning and assist work crews with manufacturing and crushing operations.
- Perform aggregate sampling and gradation testing at quarries, gravel pits, and testing labs.
- Operate heavy equipment and perform manual labor tasks.
- Complete assigned projects as part of the internship program requirements.
- Wear and maintain required personal protective equipment while working in various weather conditions, including exposure to dust and moving machinery.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Mining Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic computer skills, including experience with MS Office products.
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for long periods on uneven terrain.
