About the role#
This summer internship offers students first-hand exposure to operations within the construction industry. You will work directly with Regional Controllers and Staff Accountants to apply classroom concepts to real business operations. This position is based in Paragould, Arkansas, and requires on-site work.
What you'll do#
- Perform a full range of accounting functions.
- Handle inventory transactions, physical measurements, and job costing.
- Gain an understanding of internal controls in an industry setting.
- Work with operations teams to improve process efficiencies.
- Use multiple computer systems to complete project work.
- Support company safety initiatives and embrace the safety culture.
- Adhere to company policies, the code of ethics, and workplace conduct standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program for Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office products.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- A valid driver license and the ability to maintain a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift or move up to 35 pounds and navigate uneven terrain at work sites.
