About the role#
This is a 12-week internship for Summer 2027 within the Financial & Operational Risk subteam. You will support the underwriting, monitoring, and analysis of counterparty and asset-level credit risk for our global institutional client base. Working with risk professionals and product teams, you will gain experience evaluating exposures in digital asset lending and trading. Your work will inform credit decisions and risk reporting for leadership.
What you'll do#
- Underwrite institutional counterparties, including hedge funds, asset managers, and market makers, while recommending internal credit ratings and risk-based limits.
- Monitor trading and bank partner exposures and conduct periodic portfolio reviews.
- Flag concentration risks or emerging trends to leadership.
- Analyze asset volatility and liquidity risks to support lending and trading product decisions.
- Collaborate with product, sales, operations, and legal teams to resolve client or product challenges.
- Research industry trends, regulatory developments, and crypto market dynamics.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline, with an expected graduation date of December 2026 or later.
- Demonstrated interest in financial and capital markets.
- Coursework or projects involving credit analysis, financial statement interpretation, or portfolio risk concepts.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for quantitative analysis, such as modeling or data summarization.
- Familiarity with the crypto economy or the ability to rapidly learn new financial product domains.
- Ability to use generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready work.
