About the role#
Code Ninjas in Shiloh is seeking a Center Director or Assistant Center Director to manage daily operations. This role is the backbone of our center and requires a motivated leader who enjoys working with children and parents. We offer internships for students interested in small business operations, digital marketing, and IT. This is a full-time, on-site position with a rolling start date.
What you'll do#
- Oversee daily center operations from Tuesday through Saturday.
- Manage local and digital marketing efforts within a set budget.
- Handle inquiries, schedule tours, and follow up on leads.
- Engage with families to explain student progress and learning needs.
- Supervise staff, including our team of sensei, to ensure team needs are met.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, activities, and calendars.
- Uphold safety standards and center cleanliness.
- Plan and promote special activities.
- Report progress to the executive team on a regular basis.
- Address facility or patron emergencies and handle sensitive information.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 21 years old and able to pass a background check.
- Enthusiasm for working with children is required.
- 2-3 years of experience in a camp, after-school, recreation, or school setting with children ages 5 and up.
- Currently enrolled in or a graduate of a college or university.
- Proficiency with Microsoft suite, social media, and basic office technology.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain detailed records.
- Supervisory experience and knowledge of business operations are preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification are a plus but not required.
Location & details#
- Location: Shiloh, Illinois.
- Schedule: Tuesday through Friday, 1PM to 9PM, and Saturday, 9AM to 5AM.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
