About the role#
Cleveland Research Company offers a 12-week internship for students interested in the equity research industry. This role is based in our downtown Cleveland office and runs from May 2027 through August 2027. You will work directly with our multi-strategy hedge fund sales teams to learn our coverage spaces and sales processes. We evaluate interns during this period for potential full-time roles upon graduation.
What you'll do#
- Arrive at the office by 6:15am daily to prepare for the morning meeting.
- Research and identify key trends within our coverage spaces.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external industry sources.
- Pitch stock ideas to hedge fund clients alongside the sales team.
- Attend client meetings and industry events to gain sector insights.
- Learn how to identify prospective clients and manage negotiations.
- Complete an independent research project with a real CRC customer.
- Participate in weekly group financial discussions with the President of the firm.
- Attend a sales marketing trip in NYC and participate in a mock portfolio competition.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program.
- Status as a Junior graduating in 2028 or a Senior graduating in 2027.
- Strong work ethic and a genuine interest in equity research.
- Well-developed analytical skills and the ability to master complex tasks.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Ability to multi-task with minimal supervision.
- Business acumen is preferred.
