Research Intern- Summer 2027

About the role#

Cleveland Research Company is seeking interns for the Summer 2027 program. This 12-week, full-time position is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the role of an analyst within an independent research firm. Interns will join a specific research team covering industries such as consumer, healthcare, industrial, technology, or fintech. The program includes an independent research project, weekly financial discussions with the firm's President, a mock portfolio competition, and opportunities to shadow senior team members at client meetings or tradeshows.

What you'll do#

• Become an expert on your assigned sector and covered companies.
• Develop and maintain relationships with industry sources.
• Build and update financial models for covered companies.
• Interact and share conviction with the internal sales force.
• Assist in the production of written reports for institutional money manager clients.
• Gather and analyze proprietary market research, macroeconomic data, and industry data.
• Attend industry events to gain an in-depth understanding of your sector.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a graduate or undergraduate program. While all majors are considered, Finance and Business Administration are common backgrounds.
• Status as a Junior graduating in 2028 or a Senior graduating in 2027.
• Strong work ethic and a genuine interest in the equity and market research industry.
• Well-developed analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Ability to master complex tasks and multi-task with minimal supervision.

• Location: Cleveland, Ohio.
• Modality: This role requires a full-time, on-site presence at the downtown Cleveland office.
• Term: 12 weeks, from May 2027 to August 2027.
• Status: This is a paid position.
