About the role#
Cleveland Research Company offers a 12-week summer internship designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the role of an analyst within an independent research firm. Interns join a specific research team covering industries such as consumer, healthcare, industrial, technology, or fintech. The program includes an independent research project for a client, weekly financial discussions with the company president, a mock portfolio competition, and a comprehensive training program. This position is used to evaluate candidates for future full-time career opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Become an expert on your assigned sector and covered companies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with industry sources.
- Build and update financial models for each company.
- Interact and share conviction with the internal sales force.
- Assist in the production of written reports for institutional money manager clients.
- Attend industry events to gain an in-depth understanding of the sector.
- Gather and analyze proprietary market research.
- Compile and analyze macroeconomic and industry data.
What you'll need#
- Must be a Junior graduating in 2028 or a Senior graduating in 2027.
- Currently enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate program (all majors considered, though Finance and Business Administration are common).
- Strong work ethic and interest in the equity and market research industry.
- Well-developed analytical skills.
- Ability to master complex tasks and multi-task with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.

- Location: Cleveland, Ohio.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 2027 to August 2027).
- Modality: Full-time, on-site presence is required.
- Compensation: This is a paid position including a fully furnished downtown apartment, food, and events.
