About the role#
As a Software Development Intern at Clearwater Analytics, you will work with mentors and colleagues to design, create, and launch software applications. You will learn professional development tools and programming concepts while applying real-world solutions to technical challenges. This is a full-time, paid position that offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional software environment.
What you'll do#
- Learn development tools, best practices, and programming concepts with guidance from mentors.
- Independently complete simple coding tasks.
- Engage in design discussions and provide input to the team.
- Document, implement, and test high-quality features.
- Participate in code reviews by submitting your own work and providing constructive feedback to others.
- Master the basics of the team's business domain within your first month.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year degree program for Computer Science or a related field.
- Basic programming skills in Java.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well within a team and handle feedback positively.
