About the role#
The Reconciliation Analyst Intern supports our team in comparing investment portfolio data against our web-based reconciliation system. You will work alongside experienced analysts to ensure accurate and timely portfolio status updates for our clients. This role provides hands-on experience in financial reconciliation and reporting.
What you'll do#
- Review and update reporting data to meet daily deadlines.
- Investigate and address issues within the reconciliation system with guidance from mentors.
- Build relationships with data providers, clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Develop an understanding of financial concepts and how they apply to reconciliation errors.
- Complete assigned projects or learning modules to deepen technical and industry knowledge.
- Communicate professionally with internal and external parties.
- Build familiarity with internal tools through hands-on training.
- Demonstrate curiosity about product innovation opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Mathematics, Sciences, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and Pivot Tables. VBA skills are a plus.
- Basic understanding of investment, financial, and accounting concepts.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Eagerness to learn and solve problems.
- Familiarity with GAAP, IFRS, or standard security types is a plus.
- Coursework or interest in securities or financial markets is preferred.
