About the role#
Clean Harbors is seeking an Operations Support Intern for our Summer 2027 Industrial Services Internship Program in La Place, Louisiana. This full-time role offers hands-on experience in daily operations, administrative coordination, and support for the teams that manage our Industrial Services business. You will work on-site alongside the Operations Manager and travel to field locations to observe operational planning and safety protocols.
What you'll do#
- Prioritize health and safety by following all company policies and safe work practices.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager to learn about daily business operations and the Industrial Services industry.
- Coordinate employee training, manage schedules, and track training requirements.
- Handle travel arrangements, including transportation and lodging for staff.
- Manage incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and facilitate communication between field teams and management.
- Maintain operational records, prepare reports, and organize administrative documents.
- Travel to project sites to gain exposure to field operations and assist with daily activities.
- Identify ways to improve administrative processes and operational efficiency.
- Participate in professional development activities and networking events.
- Complete and present a final project at the end of the program.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree or certificate program for Business Administration, Business Management, Operations Management, or Engineering.
- Strong interest in business operations and the Environmental and Industrial Services industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain accurate records.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel to field locations and job sites as required.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and business partners.
- Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills.
