About the role#
Claire's is looking for an analytical and curious student to join our Planning team for the Summer 2027 term. This internship provides exposure to how data, inventory, sales trends, and customer demand support business decisions. You will learn the tools and processes used to ensure the right product is in the right place at the right time.
What you'll do#
- Assist with sales, inventory, and product performance analysis.
- Support forecasting and planning activities.
- Review business trends to help identify opportunities or risks.
- Assist with reporting and analysis that supports business decisions.
- Learn how inventory and sales plans are developed and managed.
- Partner with Buying and other cross-functional teams.
- Develop proficiency with retail metrics, reporting, and analytical tools.
- Support special projects and evolving business priorities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, Analytics, Merchandising, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Interest in retail planning, inventory, and business performance.
- Comfort working with numbers and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate findings clearly and effectively.
- A curious, adaptable, and eager mindset.
- Expected graduation date of December 2027 or later is preferred.

- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Rosemont, Illinois.
- The program takes place during Summer 2027.
