About the role#
The Federal Work Study Wellness Assistant role at Olive-Harvey College provides part-time employment for eligible students. This position supports the daily operations of the Wellness Department while helping students gain practical experience within the City Colleges of Chicago system.
What you'll do#
- Greet students, faculty, and staff at the reception desk.
- Provide general office support including filing, faxing, photocopying, and data entry.
- Assist staff with daily office functions and various assigned projects.
- Manage inventory for the Chicago food pantry, including tracking incoming items and distribution to students.
- Answer phones and interact with students and outside customers.
- Complete spreadsheets and maintain records.
- Adhere to City Colleges of Chicago Customer Service Excellence Standards.
What you'll need#
- Must be 16 years or older with work permit consent and eligible to work in the United States.
- Actively attending a City College of Chicago, enrolled in at least 6 semester hours.
- Pursuing an approved educational credential, degree, or certificate.
- Minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA and in good academic standing.
- High School Diploma or actively pursuing a GED at the City Colleges of Chicago.
- Not currently employed as a full or part-time staff member at the City Colleges of Chicago.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and data entry.
- Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and knowledge of the City Colleges of Chicago.
