About the role#
CHS Inc. is seeking a Pipeline Engineer Intern to join the Pipelines and Terminals group in McPherson, Kansas. This role provides technical support to Mechanical Engineers to help achieve equipment reliability and performance. You will work within established safety, environmental, and economic guidelines.
What you'll do#
- Assist with station manifold design and inspection data analysis.
- Develop equipment repair plans and assist with material selection.
- Troubleshoot equipment performance and recommend maintenance solutions.
- Conduct hydraulic analysis of pipeline segments.
- Help Engineers and Electrical Techs develop P&IDs.
- Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to schedule equipment installation and repairs.
- Identify and report safety, health, or environmental issues.
- Complete projects such as equipment design, specification preparation, integrity evaluations, and research investigations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or Senior in a Mechanical or Civil Engineering program at an accredited four-year college or university.
- A valid state-issued driver license.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week.
