About the role#
This is a hands-on internship based in Corsica, South Dakota. You will work with Agronomy Production Sales Specialists to support local producers. This role involves field work, warehouse operations, and customer service tasks.
What you'll do#
- Assist with crop scouting, soil sampling, and field problem solving.
- Design, monitor, and summarize farm trials to share with customers and the team.
- Use integrated pest management techniques to set treatment thresholds.
- Write and present reports for supervisors or customers.
- Learn the features of our agronomy products and services.
- Help with over-the-counter sales and product deliveries.
- Operate warehouse equipment and learn plant operations.
- Use the Agris software for inventory management and invoicing.
- Maintain equipment and facilities while following safety and environmental policies.
- Perform custom application tasks if qualified.
- Support other departments as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Ag Business, Crop Science, or related degree program.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- Agriculture experience or background knowledge is helpful.
- Previous internship experience is a plus.
