About the role#
As an Agronomy Operations Intern, you will work on-site in Sisseton, South Dakota. This paid, full-time internship runs during the Winter and Summer of 2027. You will work alongside experienced professionals to build practical skills in the agriculture industry.
What you'll do#
- Learn general agronomy skills, including crop scouting, product application, and mixing procedures.
- Handle daily agronomy and seed operations.
- Monitor inventory quality and maintain accurate records.
- Perform housecleaning tasks to ensure a safe workspace.
- Assist with repairs and preventative maintenance for equipment like sprayers, floaters, conveyors, and trucks.
- Provide service to customers.
- Follow state, local, and company safety and environmental policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Ag Business, Crop Science, or related degree program.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- Ability to operate machinery such as tractors, loaders, and conveyors.
- Willingness to work extended hours during peak seasons.
- A CDL license and forklift certification are preferred.
