Information Technology - Software Engineer - Intern

About the role#

This internship provides an opportunity to contribute to digital innovation initiatives within the energy sector. You will work on key projects alongside product teams, following agile principles to develop, deploy, and support functional software solutions. This role focuses on building modular, scalable, and observable components while utilizing modern development practices.

What you'll do#

• Write code to deliver functional and innovative software solutions.
• Design and develop data integration and management practices.
• Utilize CI/CD tooling to deploy software and iterate on solutions.
• Leverage AI and automation capabilities to accelerate software delivery and operational excellence.
• Integrate solutions with the larger enterprise ecosystem, including API development.
• Maintain and support applications by understanding technical requirements.
• Apply responsible AI practices, including validation, security reviews, and human oversight of AI-generated code.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to demonstrate The Chevron Way.
• Submission of a current, unofficial transcript with your resume.
