The Information and Analytics internship program offers students the opportunity to contribute to data-driven initiatives within a global energy environment. Interns work across various disciplines, including Data Science, Data Engineering, Machine Learning Engineering, Business Intelligence, and Data Analysis. Participants are supported by mentorship programs and professional networks to gain insight into enterprise technology and business operations.
What you'll do#
- Identify and frame opportunities to apply advanced analytics, modeling, and automation to improve decision-making.
- Clean, prepare, and store data while developing reusable data products and pipelines.
- Build and test machine and deep learning systems optimized for scalability and performance.
- Orchestrate and configure infrastructure to support Data Scientists and analysts in building low-latency, resilient machine learning workloads.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and data visualizations.
- Develop and share reusable tools for data engineering tasks and optimize data workflows.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Data Science, Management Information Systems, or a related engineering field.
- A current, unofficial transcript must be provided with your application.
- Demonstrated depth in advanced analytics and data science technologies, such as machine learning, operations research, statistics, or data mining.
- Experience with data pipelines, Data Lake and storage configuration, Python, RDBMS, and SQL.
- A strong software engineering background with working knowledge of mathematics (linear algebra, probability, statistics) and algorithms.
- Ability to communicate clearly in both oral and written formats.
