About the role#
Chemelex is hiring an Engineering Intern to support our Projects & Services team. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Edmonton. You will work on Electrical Heat Trace (EHT) systems, assisting with design, analysis, and project documentation.
What you'll do#
- Provide engineering design and analysis for EHT systems, including layouts and specification development.
- Create Construction Work Packages and Quality Work Packages, including Bills of Materials and test sheets.
- Track project progress and collaborate with project managers on scope, cost, and timelines.
- Prepare material requisitions and customer documentation.
- Coordinate with supply and procurement teams to manage shipping priorities and material expediting.
- Support change order processes by tracking quantities and preparing documentation.
- Maintain project records throughout the duration of the work.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree program at an accredited institution.
- Familiarity with engineering, maintenance, or operations at an industrial site or petrochemical facility.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn database tools.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Capability to adapt to changing project needs and deadlines.
