About the role#
This summer internship offers an opportunity to work alongside senior consultants on client projects within the Forensic Services and Cybersecurity practice. The program spans 8 to 10 weeks and provides exposure to the daily responsibilities of a consulting analyst. You will participate in professional development, wellness programs, and team events.
What you'll do#
- Assist with security and privacy investigations related to data security matters, including breaches and fraud.
- Perform forensic analysis of digital information using standard tools and scientific reasoning.
- Defensibly collect digital evidence and maintain chain-of-custody documentation.
- Use programming, model building, and database administration skills to support investigations.
- Identify and organize information to determine the nature of system compromises or data theft.
- Share analytical findings and assist in drafting written reports to summarize procedures.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program with a graduation date of December 2027 or Summer 2028.
- Academic focus in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of computer operating systems, hardware, and software.
- Experience with digital forensic analysis using commercial or open-source tools.
- Experience conducting static and dynamic malware analysis in a lab environment.
- Understanding of evidence handling procedures and chain-of-custody requirements.

- Locations: Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; Dallas, TX; Washington, DC.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid, with an expectation of 3 to 4 days per week in the office.
- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
