About the role#
The Student Center Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for the Charles R. Drew University Student Center. This role provides administrative support to the Division of Student Affairs and helps maintain an efficient, welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. You will act as the first face people see when entering the building and assist with various clerical duties.
What you'll do#
- Greet visitors, answer questions, and provide directions.
- Serve as the main point of contact for the Student Center.
- Coordinate with multiple departments to ensure the delivery of student services.
- Maintain and organize digital and physical filing systems.
- Manage the multi-line phone system and direct inquiries to the appropriate resources.
- Monitor building access logs and visitor traffic.
- Provide administrative support to the Division of Student Affairs and the OSL team.
- Manage inventory for supplies and equipment.
What you'll need#
- A regionally accredited bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in an education or university program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems.
