About the role#
The Education Intern supports the Population and Sustainability program by developing resources that address the upstream causes of the wildlife extinction crisis. This role focuses on engaging K-12 educators and students through creative campaigns, including the Simplify the Holidays and Endangered Species Condoms initiatives. The position is part-time, temporary, and paid at $18.07 per hour.
What you'll do#
- Create age-appropriate educational resources and classroom activities for K-12 audiences.
- Develop a Simplify the Holidays program designed to reduce plastic consumption and waste in K-12 settings.
- Conduct research regarding the use of plastics in schools and other K-12 environments.
- Assist with campaign outreach and the dissemination of materials to educators.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
