2027 Summer Corporate Intern – Commercial

About the role#

The 2027 Summer Corporate Intern – Commercial program is a 12-week, full-time assignment designed to build business acumen through diverse project responsibilities. Interns work alongside Caterpillar employees to support dealers and customers, contributing to projects that enhance brand value and drive enterprise performance.

What you'll do#

• Assist teams in providing technical support for large machines and engines, including excavators, dozers, loaders, and natural gas engines.
• Define and deliver online experiences that generate leads, sales, and customer loyalty.
• Shape the brand by creating compelling stories and customer experiences with visual and aesthetic appeal.
• Support the sale of products and services while delivering superior service to dealers and customers.
• Work on projects that maximize the value delivered to the Caterpillar enterprise.

What you'll need#

• Current participation in a Caterpillar student program.
• Full-time enrollment at a 4-year university or college in Business, Marketing, Analytics, Communications, Graphic Design, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3.0/4.0 cumulative GPA (no rounding).
• Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Ability to relocate to the internship location for the duration of the program.

• Locations: Peoria, Illinois; Tucson, Arizona; Houston, Texas; Irving, Texas; Cary, North Carolina; and Seguin, Texas.
• Modality: On-site (5 days per week).
• Duration: Summer 2026.
