About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site in Columbus, Ohio, from May 17, 2027, to August 6, 2027. You will join our professional teams to gain exposure to scientific workflows and build your professional network.
What you'll do#
- Complete an initial training assignment to learn about chemical information curation.
- Evaluate existing materials science content curation workflows with your teammates.
- Identify ways to improve the process and the scope of relevant content.
- Build working relationships across the organization through the Summer Intern Program.
- Stay current on scientific trends through team and individual training.
What you'll need#
- You are pursuing a degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or Engineering.
- You have finished multiple semesters of coursework in Materials Science or Chemistry.
- You have an interest in exploring a lean six sigma yellow belt to help with process improvement.
- You possess strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- You have strong communication, teaming, and leadership skills.
- You can work both independently and within a collaborative group.
