About the role#
Carrier is seeking a motivated student to support engineering and facilities activities. This internship is expected to be approximately 10 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate your academic schedule. You will gain practical experience in facilities management, laboratory testing, and development work across areas such as compression, heat transfer, materials science, light commercial HVAC, and digital operations.
What you'll do#
- Support digital operations tool development, including designing new tools, adding features to existing tools, and debugging.
- Assist in digital operations initiatives, such as data organization, dashboard development, process documentation, and analysis of lab or operational performance data.
- Collaborate with engineers, lab personnel, facilities staff, and cross-functional teams to complete tasks, communicate findings, and support project needs.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Digital Technology.
- An overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and cross-functional team members.
- Familiarity with engineering software, spreadsheets, data visualization, coding, or modeling is preferred.

- Location: East Syracuse, New York (On-site).
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Compensation: This is a paid position with an annual salary range of $43,500 to $87,500. This role is not eligible for company benefits.
