About the role#
The Clinical Intern for Sterile Processing supports departmental operations and strategic initiatives. You will work under the supervision of a department leader or licensed professional to gain practical experience in a clinical setting. This role is a full-time, paid position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Assist patients with activities of daily living.
- Transport patients, supplies, specimens, and equipment throughout the facility.
- Conduct research and prepare reports, summaries, or presentations for assigned projects.
- Participate in staff meetings and interdisciplinary discussions.
- Observe, document, and communicate work progress to your supervisor.
- Perform operational and administrative tasks aligned with your academic program.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least 2 years of high school.
- Minimum age of 16 years.
- Good interpersonal, organizational, communication, and listening skills.
- Manual dexterity and visual perception.
- Ability to maintain clear speech and good finger dexterity.
- You may be required to obtain or maintain BLS certification.
