About the role#
Career Now Brands is looking for a part-time Accounts Receivable Intern to join our finance team in Royal Oak. This role offers hands-on experience with daily accounting operations for students or recent graduates. You will work approximately 20 hours per week and support the team with invoicing, collections, and account maintenance.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and send customer invoices.
- Process and post incoming customer payments.
- Monitor outstanding accounts receivable and aging reports.
- Send payment reminders and follow up on past-due invoices.
- Apply cash receipts and customer remittances.
- Maintain accurate billing records and customer information.
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies or billing issues.
- Reconcile customer balances and unapplied payments.
- Assist with AR reporting and other finance projects.
- Document customer-specific billing requirements.
- Perform data entry within accounting systems.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit or recent completion of a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow established processes.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Comfort working with numbers and financial data.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity.
- Experience with QuickBooks, HubSpot, or similar software is a plus.
