About the role#
As a Leasing Community Intern, you will support our team in maintaining 100% occupancy. You will serve as an ambassador for our residents while gaining hands-on experience in property management. This role requires you to live on-site at the community where you work.
What you'll do#
- Greet prospective clients and answer incoming leasing calls.
- Determine resident needs and present apartment homes using feature-benefit selling techniques.
- Close sales and manage follow-ups with leads.
- Complete lease applications and maintain accurate file documentation.
- Participate in lease file audits and pass third-party leasing shops.
- Handle administrative front desk tasks and assist with community projects.
- Help plan and host community events.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the tour path.
- Participate in Cardinal Way of Leasing and Cardinal U training.
- Share on-call responsibilities, including lock-outs and nightly rounds.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program at an accredited college or university with at least 6 credit hours.
- Completion of at least one year of college with a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current or future leaseholder status at the community.
- Ability to work approximately 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
- Valid driver license.
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs and access all areas of the property.
