About the role#
As a Leasing Community Intern, you serve as a representative for our customer service efforts. You will work to maintain high occupancy levels by helping current residents and leasing available apartment homes. This is a part-time position that requires you to live on-site at the community.
What you'll do#
- Greet prospective clients and answer incoming leasing calls.
- Determine client needs and preferences to present suitable apartment homes.
- Use feature and benefit selling techniques to close sales and follow up with leads.
- Complete lease applications and maintain accurate lease file documentation.
- Participate in lease file audits and complete required training, including the Cardinal Way of Leasing and Cardinal U.
- Help plan community events and assist with various property projects.
- Perform front desk administrative tasks.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the tour path.
- Demonstrate a professional attitude toward residents, team members, and vendors.
- Handle on-call responsibilities, such as lock-outs and nightly rounds.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university with at least 6 credit hours.
- Completion of at least one year of college with a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
- Ability to work approximately 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
- Must be a current or future leaseholder at the community and live on the designated floor.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and access all areas of the property, including interior and exterior spaces.
