About the role#
As a Leasing Community Intern, you will serve as a key point of contact for our residents and prospective clients. This role focuses on maintaining high occupancy levels through effective leasing and resident retention. You will work on-site in West Lafayette, Indiana, and must be available to work evenings and weekends. This is a part-time, paid position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Act as an ambassador for customer service by assisting residents and prospective clients.
- Complete lease applications and manage lease file paperwork.
- Participate in Cardinal Way of Leasing training and maintain accurate file documentation.
- Help plan and execute community events.
- Assist with administrative tasks at the front desk and maintain the cleanliness of tour paths.
- Perform on-call duties such as lock-outs and property rounds.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university with at least one year completed and a minimum 2.5 GPA.
- A valid driver license.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and navigate all areas of the property, including interior and exterior spaces.
- Ability to work approximately 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
- Must be a current or future leaseholder of the community and live on a designated floor as assigned.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Real Estate, Marketing, or Communications.
