About the role#
As a Leasing Community Intern, you serve as a representative for our customer service efforts. You will work to maintain high occupancy levels by helping current residents and assisting with the leasing process for prospective clients. This is a part-time, on-site role based in Los Angeles.
What you'll do#
- Welcome prospective clients and answer incoming leasing calls.
- Determine the needs and preferences of potential residents.
- Present the community and apartment homes, using feature and benefit selling to close the sale.
- Complete lease applications and maintain accurate file documentation.
- Participate in lease file audits and complete required training programs.
- Keep the tour path clean to ensure a positive first impression.
- Assist with planning community events and other property projects.
- Perform administrative front desk tasks.
- Handle on-call duties, including lock-outs and nightly rounds.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university with at least 6 credit hours.
- Completion of at least one year of college with a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
- Status as a current or future leaseholder of the community.
- Willingness to live on the designated community floor as assigned by the Community Manager.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and a valid driver's license.
- Availability to work approximately 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to embody the Cardinal Culture and core values.

- Compensation: $19-$21 per hour plus bonus potential.
