About the role#
As a Leasing Community Intern, you will support the daily operations of the community while focusing on resident satisfaction and leasing goals. This role involves maintaining high occupancy rates through the retention of current residents and the leasing of available units. You will act as an ambassador for the community, providing professional service to residents, prospective clients, and vendors.
What you'll do#
- Deliver high-quality customer service and assist with administrative front desk tasks.
- Manage the leasing process, including answering calls, conducting tours, and closing sales.
- Complete lease applications and maintain accurate file documentation in compliance with company policy.
- Participate in community event planning and assist with various community projects.
- Complete required training programs, including Cardinal Way of Leasing and Cardinal U.
- Handle on-call responsibilities, such as lock-outs and nightly rounds, as needed.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the tour path to ensure a positive first impression.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program at an accredited college or university with at least 6 credit hours and one year of completed coursework.
- A minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average.
- Status as a current or future leaseholder of the community, with the requirement to live on a designated floor.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform tasks requiring standing, walking, reaching, and stooping.
- A valid driver's license.
- Availability to work approximately 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
