About the role#
As a Lean Manufacturing Intern, you will work at the Green Bay plant under the guidance of the Plant Manager. This role focuses on lean principles, data-driven problem solving, and process optimization. You will participate in efforts to eliminate waste and improve efficiency on the production floor.
What you'll do#
- Spot inefficiencies and gather data to guide resource allocation.
- Join daily improvement huddles to contribute ideas.
- Support Focused Improvement Team events, including Level 3 Kaizen initiatives.
- Assist with event preparation and follow-up tasks.
- Track cost savings resulting from improvement projects.
- Brainstorm and implement ideas to boost performance.
- Apply Lean Six Sigma tools to analyze and mitigate issues.
- Take on special projects and handle new challenges.
- Champion the commitment to safety and quality by following all policies.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Completion of 30 credit hours is preferred.
- Available to work 30 to 40 hours per week from May through August 2027.
- Strong communication, organization, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn.

- This is a paid, full-time internship.
- Physical requirements include light activity, computer use, and occasional visits to the production floor. You must be able to lift up to 15 pounds. Proper footwear and PPE are required for floor visits.
