    About the role#

    As a Continuous Improvement Engineering Intern, you will work on real manufacturing challenges to help improve production processes. You will work alongside experienced engineers to learn Lean Manufacturing principles and contribute to projects that reduce waste and improve quality. This role involves both office work and time on the production floor.

    What you'll do#

    • Gather and analyze production data to identify trends and inefficiencies.
    • Support process improvement projects using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
    • Create and update clear procedures and training materials.
    • Participate in and lead team meetings to brainstorm process enhancements.
    • Shadow engineers and quality professionals to gain insight into manufacturing systems.
    • Assist with safety and environmental initiatives.
    • Champion the company commitment to safety and quality by following all policies.

    What you'll need#

    • Current pursuit of a degree in Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
    • Availability to work 30 to 40 hours per week from May to August 2027.
    • Strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
    • Ability to communicate clearly and work well within a team.
    • A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn new tools.
    • A basic understanding of Lean or Six Sigma is preferred.

    • Location: Lake Charles, Louisiana.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Physical requirements: You must be able to lift up to 15 pounds and wear proper PPE on the production floor. You are responsible for your own housing arrangements in the Lake Charles area.
