About the role#
We are hiring a full-time Accounting Clerk intern for the summer of 2027. This position runs from May through August. You will join a team focused on financial operations and gain hands-on experience through project work and professional development opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, vendor requisitions, and cash management transactions.
- Maintain master data records for vendors and customers.
- Follow up on outstanding transactions, prepare payment requests, and record receipts.
- Verify transaction approvals, coding, and documentation to ensure compliance with policies.
- Assist internal and external clients with financial requirements and procedures.
- Review financial reports and explain findings to stakeholders.
- Distribute updated financial reports for publication.
- Contribute to ongoing system and process improvements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a degree program in accounting, finance, or business administration.
- Prior experience with accounting tasks, specifically processing accounts payable or accounts receivable.
- Proficiency with spreadsheet software and reporting tools like MS Excel and PowerBI.
- A solid understanding of accepted accounting principles.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to organize your own work effectively.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
- Progress toward a CPA designation is an asset.
- Experience with MS Dynamics or D365 is an asset.

- This is a full-time, paid internship based in Ottawa, Ontario.
- The role operates on a hybrid basis.
- Reliability status security clearance is required.
