About the role#
The Web Development Intern will support the ongoing technical management of the CALSTART portfolio of websites. This role involves assisting with upcoming initiatives, including a company-wide rebrand, a website rebuild, and the integration of newly acquired web properties. Working under the supervision of the Senior Web Developer, you will contribute to technical documentation, issue triage, and quality assurance processes.
What you'll do#
- Support the technical management of the website portfolio.
- Assist with quality assurance, accessibility testing, and analytics validation.
- Perform minor front-end development tasks.
- Help with content migration validation and redirect mapping during the website rebuild.
- Document quality assurance and accessibility audits.
- Create standardized website testing and launch checklists.
- Assist with pre- and post-launch quality assurance for new web properties.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least three years of accredited college or university coursework toward a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Foundational experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, responsive web design, and WordPress.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and task management abilities.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and document findings clearly.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to collect, analyze, and synthesize data.
- Ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders and work collaboratively in a remote environment.
