C-SPO-100-Operational Excellence & Strategic Projects Intern

About the role#

This internship provides hands-on experience supporting the Global Operations Excellence team. You will contribute to strategic initiatives and drive continuous improvement projects that impact the organization across multiple sites. This position is open to university students and runs from August 31st to December 18th, 2026.

What you'll do#

• Lead and support continuous improvement projects using methodologies such as PDCA, 8D, A3, Lean Six Sigma, and Business Process Management.
• Build process maps to identify inefficiencies and perform gap analyses to determine areas for improvement.
• Organize and facilitate workshops focused on problem-solving, root cause analysis, and process mapping.
• Identify, recommend, and implement solutions, creating action plans to ensure project success.
• Monitor and report on project progress.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across various CAE sites.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in a university degree program in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or Chemical Engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Previous internship experience in continuous improvement, operational excellence, industrial engineering, or project management.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Bilingualism in French and English is required.
• Assets include Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification or PMP certification.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and meet the requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
