C-MAD-100 Test Software Developer Intern

About the role#

This internship focuses on the MADXR, a next-generation avionics system used for submarine detection on surveillance aircraft and helicopters. As the system moves into high-volume production, the engineering team is focused on standardization and preparing future system iterations. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to improve test bench software and support production processes.

What you'll do#

• Contribute to the improvement and modernization of test bench software.
• Participate in the creation of automated test benches and related documentation.
• Write automated unit tests for test software.
• Develop Python scripts for data analysis.
• Support the engineering team with continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to frontend development and database tools.
• Collaborate with the production team to refine existing processes.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficiency in object-oriented C/C++ programming.
• Knowledge of electronics and the ability to read electrical schematics.
• Experience in microcontroller programming.
• Curiosity and a strong desire to learn.
• Ability to work independently and navigate ambiguity.

• Term: Fall 2026 (August 31st to December 18th, 2026).
• Modality: On-site.
• Employment type: Full-time internship.
• Eligibility: Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada and meet the requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
