This is a senior-level internship within the Global Tax function, designed for students interested in the intersection of taxation, technology, and data analytics. You will support tax professionals across Canadian, U.S., and international jurisdictions by contributing to data-driven initiatives, process optimization, and automation. This role offers broad exposure to global tax matters and the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a complex multinational environment.
What you'll do#
- Support Canadian, U.S., and international tax compliance, including data preparation, reconciliations, and working papers.
- Participate in tax data standardization and automation initiatives, including the development of technology-enabled tools and workflows.
- Assist with indirect tax matters, such as GST/HST, QST, and VAT, including transaction validation and logic testing.
- Build or support dashboards and reporting tools to monitor tax processes and key deliverables.
- Perform data quality and control checks, documenting results to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Utilize AI-assisted tools for tasks such as documentation, summaries, and process automation within established governance frameworks.
- Contribute to global tax initiatives, special projects, and the documentation of standard operating procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or Information Systems.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and formulas; Power Query proficiency is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical capabilities with experience working with large, structured datasets.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle and an understanding of financial data structures.
- High level of attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Interest in applying AI and automation to corporate tax and compliance processes.

- Location: Montreal, Quebec.
- Term: Fall 2026 (August 31st to December 18th).
- Modality: Hybrid.
- Employment Type: Full-time.
- Requirements: Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada and meet the requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
