About the role#
CACI is hiring a Systems Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term to support the NASA Consolidates Applications Platforms Services contract. This is a paid, part-time position based on-site in Ashburn, Virginia. You will work with designs, plans, and cloud computing or virtualization systems.
What you'll do#
- Provide information for hardware and software selection, cloud service provider selection, and data migration tools.
- Evaluate and report on new cloud and virtualization technologies.
- Conduct systems engineering activities, including requirements definition, system architecting, and validation.
- Ensure the conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions while acknowledging technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, and trade studies to translate customer requirements into specifications.
- Gather system requirements by working with application architects and owners.
- Generate scripts and templates for the automatic provisioning of resources.
- Build software for organizational systems and debug technical issues within complex stacks involving containers, microservices, and virtualization.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Knowledge of cloud strategy and program architecture.
- Ability to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
- Previous internship experience in Systems Engineering is preferred.
- A 3.0 GPA is preferred but not required.
