About the role#
The Marketing Intern will participate in a structured, hands-on learning experience focused on digital marketing, content development, community engagement, and marketing analytics. Working under direct supervision, you will observe and contribute to various projects to build foundational skills and create portfolio-ready work. This is an unpaid, defined-term internship designed to complement your academic studies through mentorship and experiential learning.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the production of marketing materials including graphics, captions, short-form video concepts, newsletters, email campaigns, and website updates.
- Engage in community-based marketing by participating in local events, researching community organizations, and conducting partnership outreach.
- Support marketing operations through data entry, report preparation, and reviewing campaign performance.
- Participate in team discussions, mentorship sessions, and supervised marketing projects.
- Apply classroom concepts to real-world tasks within a mission-driven healthcare environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university program in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in marketing, healthcare, or nonprofit engagement.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills alongside a high level of attention to detail.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation tools.
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or WordPress is considered a plus.
- Basic knowledge of spreadsheet tools such as Excel or Google Sheets.
- A creative, curious mindset and the ability to work in a collaborative, feedback-oriented environment.
- An interest in the autism community or mission-driven organizations is preferred.

- This role is based on-site in Schaumburg, IL.
- The position is unpaid and full-time.
