About the role#
The Student Work Base Learner role at BTD Manufacturing provides an introduction to metal fabrication. You will gain hands-on experience with production processes, quality standards, and safety protocols in a manufacturing environment. This is a paid, full-time position for students in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
What you'll do#
- Follow all safety policies and report hazards or unsafe conditions immediately.
- Produce quality parts that meet customer requirements and company standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Consistently work the required number of hours as agreed upon.
- Learn to use manufacturing execution systems and follow standard work instructions.
- Work effectively with other team members.
What you'll need#
- A strong willingness to learn.
- Ability to understand and follow routine oral and written instructions.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

- Compensation: $15.45 to $21.63 per hour.
