About the role#
As an NVH Engineering Intern, you will join the NVH & Structures Group at Mercury Marine. This role focuses on the development of marine propulsion products through hands-on testing and data analysis. You will work directly with experienced engineers and technicians to improve product performance, durability, and the overall customer experience.
What you'll do#
- Support product test and development activities, including laboratory, dynamometer, and on-water testing.
- Assist with the setup, calibration, operation, and troubleshooting of NVH instrumentation, sensors, and data acquisition systems.
- Acquire, process, and analyze acoustic, vibration, and structural response data to support engineering decisions.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and summaries that communicate findings and recommendations.
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives and test requirements are achieved.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum second-semester sophomore standing with at least 48 completed credit hours.
- Enrollment in an approved four-year engineering curriculum and formal university co-op or internship program.
- Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) from May through August 2027.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
