About the role#
As an Operations Management Intern at Mercury Marine, you will join our team in Brownsburg, Indiana. This role provides hands-on experience in a distribution environment where you will work alongside supervisors, technicians, and warehouse associates. You will own and manage specific projects from start to finish while contributing to our operational goals.
What you'll do#
- Supervise a small team of warehouse associates and assign daily duties.
- Manage key departmental metrics including safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Apply lean manufacturing techniques to improve existing processes.
- Establish work procedures to ensure production schedules are met.
- Enforce plant safety rules and company policies.
- Monitor employee performance and provide regular status updates to management.
- Lead communication meetings to improve employee engagement.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s program for Operations Management, Manufacturing Management, Supply-Chain, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum second semester sophomore status with at least 48 completed credits.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to resolve conflicts with diplomacy.
- Permanent authorization to work in the United States.

- Location: Brownsburg, Indiana.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May through August).
- Commitment: Full-time (40 hours per week).
