About the role#
Boyd Jones Construction offers a 12-week internship for students interested in construction accounting. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Omaha, Nebraska, for the summer of 2027. You will work alongside accounting professionals to gain practical experience and contribute to active projects.
What you'll do#
- Process accounts payable, including coding and entering subcontractor and vendor invoices.
- Support project cost tracking, job cost reporting, and budget reconciliation.
- Assist with payroll data entry, timekeeping verification, and documentation.
- Help prepare monthly financial reports and support the month-end close process.
- Maintain financial records, contracts, and compliance documentation.
- Assist the accounting team with audit preparation, lien waivers, and general ledger entries.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited program for accounting or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, math, and problem-solving skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication abilities.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- A self-motivated and eager approach to learning.
