About the role#
As a UX Design Intern at Bound, you will contribute to product work that helps athletic directors, coaches, and families manage logistics. You will partner with our design team to research, design, and prototype features across our native app, website, and admin tools. This role provides hands-on experience with the full design process. You will own meaningful work throughout the summer, including a capstone project and active participation in team operations.
What you'll do#
- Design user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups in Figma.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to build intuitive interfaces.
- Plan and conduct user research, including interviews and usability tests.
- Turn research findings into insights, personas, or journey maps.
- Help maintain the Bound Figma component library.
- Build prototypes to test concepts and communicate design intent.
- Participate in design critiques and iterate based on feedback.
- Evaluate designs post-launch by gathering user feedback.
- Explore how AI tools like Claude can speed up design and research workflows.
- Document design decisions and present work to cross-functional teams.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a degree program in UX Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience designing in Figma.
- Knowledge of core UX principles and the design process.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A portfolio showcasing your UX design process and work.
- Interest in the research side of UX and using data to make informed decisions.
- Experience using Claude or other AI tools for design or research.
- Experience working with Figma component libraries or design systems.

- Term: Summer 2027 (May 17 - August 6, 2027).
