Urology R&D Engineering Intern

About the role#

As a Urology R&D Engineering Intern, you will contribute to the development of capital systems and processes within the urology portfolio. This role focuses on supporting new product development, from initial design concepts through to regulatory approval and commercial launch. You will work within a cross-functional environment to solve technical challenges and ensure product quality and patient safety.

What you'll do#

• Contribute to new product development and drive future products toward commercial launch.
• Support problem-solving efforts by analyzing data and reviewing identifiable factors.
• Summarize, analyze, and draw conclusions from test results, and prepare technical reports and documentation.
• Assist in troubleshooting product and process issues related to design, material, or process.
• Translate customer needs into product requirements and design specifications.
• Support the creation of new product concepts and submit idea disclosures.
• Train technicians and operators on new processes or test procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including quality, manufacturing, regulatory, clinical, and marketing teams.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Graduation date between Fall 2026 and Spring 2028.
• Ability to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
• Reliable transportation to commute to the Minnetonka, MN location.
