As a Research and Development Engineering Intern, you will support the development and testing of an ultrasound-based ablation catheter used for Renal Denervation. This role is designed for students interested in medical device innovation and catheter-based therapeutic ultrasound.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design, prototyping, and testing of single-use catheters, including therapy catheters and access sheaths.
- Design and conduct laboratory experiments and mechanical tests.
- Analyze data from test results and draw conclusions.
- Document experimental methods, results, and insights in structured reports and present findings to cross-functional project teams.
- Collaborate with R&D, Process Development, Design Quality, and Capital Equipment partners to ensure system integration.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Graduation date between Fall 2026 and Spring 2027.
- Ability to commit to one of the following full-time internship periods: May 18 – August 7 or May 26 – August 14.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
- Reliable transportation to and from the Arbor Lakes, MN corporate location.
