Packaging Co-op: Winter/Spring 2027 or Summer/Fall 2027

About the role#

As a Packaging Engineering Co-op, you will support the development and implementation of packaging and labeling solutions for Boston Scientific medical devices. You will work under the guidance of Packaging Engineers to compile, analyze, and report on research and test data to help establish performance standards for new or modified products. This role is essential in ensuring the integrity and safety of medical devices from production to end-use.

What you'll do#

• Assist Packaging Engineers with project deliverables, including test protocols, reports, rationales, inspections, and change control activities.
• Develop medical device packaging tests in alignment with ASTM standards and execute test method verification and validation activities.
• Document procedures to ensure packaging systems meet industry and regulatory standards.
• Participate in on-site lab testing, design and prototyping activities, and vendor or customer visits.
• Complete required training through the company management system and receive hands-on instruction from your supervisor to build technical understanding.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program in Packaging, Biomedical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
• Ability to commit to a full 8-month co-op assignment during either the Winter/Spring 2027 or Summer/Fall 2027 timeframe.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
• Reliable daily transportation to and from the Arden Hills and Maple Grove, MN office locations.

Location & details#

• This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Minnesota, with work required at both the St. Paul and Maple Grove locations.
• You must be available to work on-site at least four to five days per week.
