Interventional Oncology R&D Intern

About the role#

The Interventional Oncology R&D Intern will join the Peripheral Interventions division in Maple Grove, Minnesota. This position provides exposure to the development of minimally invasive therapies for cancer treatment, vessel trauma, and vascular access. Interns will work within a Fortune 500 medical device environment, gaining experience through training, mentorship, and hands-on engineering tasks.

What you'll do#

• Design and prototype new medical devices based on clinical feedback.
• Develop and implement innovative test methods for in vitro device evaluation.
• Assist new product development teams with device testing and development.
• Research clinical and market data to identify new opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve engineering challenges.

What you'll need#

• Current pursuit of a degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science.
• Graduation date between Fall 2026 and Spring 2027, with at least one semester of school remaining after the internship.
• Ability to commit to one of the following full-time program periods: May 18th – August 7th OR May 26th – August 14th.
• Reliable transportation to the Maple Grove, MN location.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
