About the role#
This is a year-round internship focused on embedded software development for drivetrain systems, such as transfer cases. You will work alongside engineers to design, develop, and test software throughout the entire development cycle. The role offers exposure to software requirements, architecture, integration, and testing. You will see the impact of your work across bench, dynamometer, and vehicle environments.
What you'll do#
- Create tools and scripts to assist in software development.
- Develop and execute test cases to verify software functionality.
- Automate various processes and tasks.
- Assist with the software component creation process.
- Design and build test bench setups.
- Collect and analyze data from simulations and vehicle testing.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment in an accredited college, university, or vocational school.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Interest in embedded software.
- Ability to write and debug scripts.
- Experience with Matlab and Simulink.
- A basic understanding of vehicle communication protocols.
- Strong writing, communication, organization, and time management skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Auburn Hills, Michigan.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with the ability to report onsite at least three days per week.
- Employment Type: Part-time, year-round.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
- Authorization: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Sponsorship is not available for this role.
