About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Winter 2027 term. You will work within the Engineering Acoustics team to support vibro-acoustic projects. This role is based in Dorval, Quebec, and operates on a hybrid schedule. Please note that this position is open only to current students, not new graduates. You may be required to travel outside of Canada occasionally for work or training.
What you'll do#
- Write test plans for ground, flight, or laboratory environments.
- Conduct acoustics and vibration testing.
- Process and analyze collected data.
- Create technical reports based on your findings.
- Build and maintain vibro-acoustic analytical tools, including FEM, SEA, and Ray tracing.
- Use existing models to make performance predictions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as an undergraduate, Master’s, or PhD student in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Physics.
- A focus on acoustics or structural modeling.
- Familiarity with acoustics and vibration analysis, specifically Fourier analysis.
- Proficiency in Matlab, Excel, and VBA.
- Fluency in both English and French, written and spoken.
- An interest in aerospace and vibration engineering.
- Experience with VA One, Sim Center, or Hyper Mesh is an asset.
